First Day in K1 - Picasso

Tuesday was first day of K1 for Cayen. While his classmates haven't changed, his teachers, classroom, shoe rack and even toilet have all changed. Hence, I was a little nervous as to how he would take to all these changes.

Caught up with teacher today and was glad that he had behaved well and engaged yesterday, and also played well with his friend A without conflict. Music lesson was smooth too. Only thing was that he didn't want to eat vegetables so teacher fed him the last bit. He also managed to nap eventually which is good as he really doesn't like to sleep.

The new form teacher is also firm and looks very experienced thus far. I have a great feeling about 2017! We even saw two snails in the morning (this is an idea I have been using to motivate him to walk down the path himself instead of carrying. He can spot the snails better if he walks and he knows he has higher chances on a rainy day. Yesterday we saw two side by side, a really rare sight!)

Unfortunately the good behaviour didn't carry through to the first Yamaha piano lesson he had in the evening. He was quite disruptive then,  I wonder if it's because he has used up his good behaviour quota for the day.. But hopefully it's just because he had a long day adjusting to all the changes.

How much difference 1 year has made , here's a throwback of the first day picture.
