Conversations with Cayen

After a peranankan meal ... Me: only that Babi Ponteh is not so nice. C: barbie doll? Ah Pa: who taught him barbie doll? Me: not me ...but he should know Barbie la .. Ah pa: at this time and age, who knows Barbie ? C: Gwen has Barbie doll!  Me: See!  Ah Pa: is Gwen in class today ?  Ah Po: yes, Gwen is in class today. Ah Pa: Ye sterday he said Gwen is on holiday.. Ah Po: you believe him ? He always sprout nonsense  C : Soli Soli Soli (using the tune of the Korean song) .. We laughed out loud. 

Funny conversations during the Macau trip

(We were just chatting about something in general , then suddenly ... ) C: From now onwards, I will challenge you ..  Me: ??!? ----- I was trying to open a mineral water bottle ; but it was too tight so I passed it to my mum and asked her to help me open. C saw the scene and exclaimed, "next time it's very hard, you pass it to me, I help you open." Then he feigned a trying-very-hard look, and said , I will 'Eee Eee Eee' and I will open for you. " I laughed. Looks like my boy has grown up.  So after a while, when I was trying to open my next bottle, I handed it over to him. He tried to open but failed. So he handed back to me. C: Ah Ma, help me. Me: I thought you wanted to help me? C: you help me open, I help you open .. Ok?? Me: ?!? ----- Ah Pa was with C and were waiting for me and Ah Po to arrive. Ah Pa: oh! I forgot something, it's in the hotel.  C: ok, I will stand here (he shifted to a corner in the busy walkw

A kids friendly vacation at Macau

Early in the morning, we went to Changi to board the plane. What should have been a calm procedure ended up in panic in the bathroom. We had brought Cayen to the toilet to change diapers, and asked him if he wanted to pee himself. He shook his head and we started changing midway before Ah Po shrieked and swerved. I instinctly jumped aside too. Cayen had peed ... all over the pristine clean floor of the toilet. Sigh. Next we had to clean up the toilet early in the morning.. Great start to the holiday ! Then, Cayen fell asleep in his favourite airport stroller before we even boarded the plane.  So it also meant that he was wide awake the entire 4 hours on board. Not sure if it's due to the breakfast or the minor movement, he had puked a little in the plane. Thankfully it wasn't too much and he was quite composed throughout.  As we took the plane to Hong Kong, we had to take the "Sky ferry" to Macau direct from the airport. Actually in hindsight, I wou
