Multiparenting Cayen & Cayson

Last night, he ran a high fever of 39+ degree so today he was home all day. Day started well as he was doing painting and other games but evening was a disaster. When I asked him to wash his hands, he filled up this container and put soap in instead of just doing a quick wash. As I was asking him to wash up and not to  waste water, he purposely splashed the water every where. I forcefully turned off the tap and tried to carry him away but he got really upset.  I guess he had no appetite as he want feeling well or perhaps as he had some tea time snacks or both. He wasn't in a mood to eat. He took a few mouthfuls and when he saw me drinking a  packet of green tea, he tried to drink but there wasn't any left I told him. He didn't believe, so he jumped up, took a chair , climbed up to try to reach for scissors on the table top. I called back to check on him. Me: 你有乖吗？ C said matter of factly, " 我打人，推人， 咬人 ..." Me: 这么不乖，我不可以给你礼物咯. 你要不要礼物？ C：要！ 阿妈，I promise you. 我会乖了。you listen to me, I listen to you .. Me: ok, be good tomorrow.  C：bye bye  Behavioural problems are continuing.. Teachers can't seem to control him and he's continuing to reply that "anyway he's changing school already ".   Anyone has solutions, please let me know. 

Ah Pa and Ah Ma have been very busy with work of late and are not able to spend much Time with Cayen in the evenings. Today , this episode happened. Cayen was hitting the stacking eggs against the glass table when ah Pa came home, so Ah Pa scolded him loudly. Then Ah Pa spoke to him abt 1 min later. Cayen simply looked down without answering.  Ah Pa : Did u hear ah Pa talking to u (and Ah Pa moved next to him) Then ah Pa saw that Cayen had 3 eggs between his legs ... Cayen : 1 ah Pa egg, 1 ah Ma egg n 1 ah Yen egg.. Then came the killer sentence.. Cayen : "我等你回家好久、你為什麼生我的氣" (I have waited so long for you to come home, why are you angry with me?) 、all while staring at the eggs.  Guilt ridden to the maximum, Ah Pa brought Cayen to Macdonalds for a treat.  Ah Ma could only feel sheer guilt while reading the message from office as she's still there trying to close up her work.   And When Ah Ma finally rushed home, Cayen said...

Last week, Teacher reported that Cayen had knocked his head though there is no obvious bump. Reason: He fell down when he kept climbing onto the chair.  The Issue: He  climbed onto the chair, spread his arms wide (the hands-free titanic look),  and exclaimed "hooray!" And he led all the other babies to do the same.  Event #2: he had arrived school early that morning. So instead of his usual class, the teachers have consolidated whoever had arrived earlier into one holding room.  Cayen went into his usual room and saw no one there. Teacher tried to persuade him to go to the holding room , and tried to hold his hands to guide him there but to no avail. He was insistent on staying in his usual room.  The Issue: the kids from his class in the holding room heard him and they all started standing up and going back to their usual room!  While I think he seem to have undue influence on the babies and one may call it leadership, I th...

I have always believed in conditioning , especially for pets and babies. Hence, my standards and expectations are always very high, especially after I read all those article about parenting. I will also get very irritated If my parents cave in to Cayen's demands whenever he makes a din as this will only condition him to make a big fuss till he gets his way. Nonetheless , after a long day at work , with the need to continue OT at home, and after seeing a bump on Cayen's head, all logic and reason disappeared when I heard him crying out his lungs in the bedroom when he was supposed to sleep. Naturally , I went into the bedroom to try to help Da who's trying to soothe him but of course that made him only cry louder as he knew I may be the ticket out of the room.
