Funny stuff in April

Last night Ah Po cooked a fish for dinner. One of the cats was fast as lightning - it jumped onto the table and grabbed the fish with its teeth. It quickly went under the table to enjoy his steal.

Little Cayson kneeled now and asked the cat, “ Ah neow (Cat), can you give me back my fish?”

Ah Po was cooking so gave Cayson the iPad to watch. After she’s done, she asked Cayson, “ Cayson, stop watching already. Have you fed your dinosaurs already? They are hungry”

Without hesitation, he put down the iPad , and proceeded to feed his dinosaurs. First, he lay all of them down on the floor and got a box of “food” and started feeding them in a very structured manner.

Cayson met a neighbour in the lift.
Neighbour : where are you going?
Cayson: go buy ba hu (pork floss in hokkien) bun for Ah Yen .
Neighbour: how old are you?
Cayson: coming 3

Last night, I was still working late at work. Got a message from Da to ask if I’m home yet. Reason is because Cayen bought me a brown sugar bubble tea, because he said I liked. Such a small gesture but so sweet - made my lousy day seem like nothing.

Been so busy the whole month at work that I have no time to record the happenings .. so I will bullet point it and come back to it another day.

- Cayen started basketball lessons and love it
- Cayen entered international abacus competition held by CMA
- Cayen resumed swimming lessons and love it more than the previous one because he can swim to the bottom to retrieve things.
- Cayen’s still ending pasta , macaroni and chicken rice only.
- He borrowed his first library book with his student pass (but alas he seemed to have lost one as of yesterday).
- Had his first meet the parent sessions in school.. went better than expected as my expectations were very low.

- Cayson had the happy hour in school too, where parents visit. But I’m not sure if that’s the root cause of the HFMD that resulted in him being down on first day of our March holiday trip. But thankfully due to careful quarantine (meaning I carry him all the way so he doesn’t mix or touch things) , we survived the trip with none of the rest of the many boys catching HFMD.
