Action packed Sunday

Ever since the last time Cayen went to a very hot wet market, he's now reluctant to go to the market as he's a bit of a polar bear - doesn't take to heat very well.

So this time when we went to the market, he went to the playground next to it instead. He climbed up the stairs for about ten times I think , exhausting his poor mama me. He was also happy to be in the companionship of two little girls who were climbing up and down as well.

After the market, we went home but soon proceeded downstairs to play and also swim as Zach and Xavier were going down as well. While Xav was younger than Cayen , he certainly took to the water like a fish and hardly flinched even when he dipped his head into water or sometimes swallowed some water. Cayen, in stark contrast, was mightily upset whenever water was splashed into his face or if he accidentally dunked. Conditioning is all the difference ... Cayen, you gotta practise more. Mama is gonna get ready her sunblock.

Thereafter, after Cayen's nap, we brought him to see "how to train a dragon" and I was hoping somehow that it would impart some tips on how to train Cayen (also born in the year of the dragon). Haha.

Anyway, the highlights of the show or rather during the show were as follow :

- there was a touching scene of mother reuniting with child (after I whispered "mama" to cayen , he started to exclaim loudly "mama, mama, mama" for about ten times and we kinda froze , wondering if we should make a run for the exit. But thankfully the audience was an understanding one since it's a cartoon so we didn't get any dirty glares nor tsk tsk. In fact, my neighbour, a stranger lady, turned to Cayen and asked him "how about Papa ?" And she repeated Papa a few times, while holding his hand. Cayen was somewhat taken aback and perhaps that was what stopped his 10th Mama.

- After a while (I'm not sure what's the trigger), Cayen started to exclaim loudly again "ah Pa, ah Pa, ah Pa". My neighbour was quite amused cox he was kind of responding to her .. Though it was a bit laggard.

- as the movie was quite long at 100 minutes and he didn't sleep during the show, he started to fidget at around 90 minutes despite the fruits buffet. Also, he had pooped so it was getting a little smelly .

- so I carried him to the back of the theatre and walked around a little. Then he started to exclaimed very loudly again "A!", "A!" , "B", "C".. Then I realised that he must be reading the seat labelling. He exclaimed so loudly that the whole row turned and looked at him. I realised I have no choice but to exit now, so as I exit, he suddenly shrieked again something that sounds like "exit". Good, he's starting to be very sensitive to numbers and words , and reacting to our incessant efforts to point out such any alphabets or numbers to him whenever we go out ..

Anyway, my bemused neighbour didn't see him when they exit (I was at the other exit) and hence, she was asking about him. Hence, I supposed he had come across as mostly adorable instead of purely a noisy baby .. Haha.
