Multiparenting Cayen & Cayson

The past year has been quite an eventful year for Cayen - having to cope with a preggy mother, change of school and finally the arrival of a new baby brother. While I was initially worried about whether we made the wrong choice in changing his school, I also took comfort in the fact that the school have nurtured him in the following aspects - he has become more confident with higher slides in playgrounds, he's fine with playing sand and overall become more athletic. Guess having outdoor play does make a real difference. Having his Ah Pa bring him swimming also meant that his water confidence has increased and he's no longer so scared of water on his face. While he still can't swim unassisted, he's at least able to do a few laps with his floatation jacket and have a good workout. Celebrating Julian's birthday on National Day at Kidstop , at the Science Centre. Julian loved the Japanese rare cheesecake .. Pity I didn't capture it on video.   

Ah Po only got her chance to sing her birthday song and blow out her candles after Cayen did. 

The first month of this year had been transfixed with Cayen's move to new school. But on my birthday , we managed to have some We time in a very long time. Early in the morning, Cayen wished me happy birthday. When asked what present he would give me, he said '"Money!" Not bad I thought, very practical .., though it never really came of course.  The day was spent watching the move "the fifth wave", sussing out some maggi goreng which I really wanted to eat (since that Indian store near my workplace closed).  By night, we had this amazing dinner with Winnie and Tat where for a four course option, you can choose any four courses from the appetiser, mains and desserts section . So if you are really hungry, you can have 4 mains. How interesting!  And best of all, the food's impeccably prepared. How time flies! Cayen is now 3 years old and to celebrate this milestone, we decided to have a short staycation somewhere. At first, we wanted to go to Universal Studios but was fearful that the haze would derail our plans so we switched gears last minute to go to somewhere else with a big indoor facility. That's where I found D'Resort at downtown East which comes with a family room setting. And that came with complimentary access to Wild wild wet for two days and Compilentary Xplorerkid visit. If you are NTUC card member, you also get linkpoints by booking online. But be mindful that any  bookings for fri and sat has to be for a minimum of two nights.
