Multiparenting Cayen & Cayson

I have been to a few cafés with a vintage setup but this beats them all with their variety of display. It's not difficult to feel like I might be in a Singapore museum. The stuff in there were really old school, from the rattan chairs to the many Vespa on display. With the chandeliers hanging along the bar, there's a sense of eclectic chic. Also, as the cafe was tucked amongst greenery, the ambience is also rather unique : vintage meets nature. Their drinks menu also features local Food and Drinks (think Bandung, Milo dinosaur, lemon barley, nasi lemak) favourites on top of the usual western fare. However, do note that the price tag are going to be quite hefty for such local delights. For instance, I had a mixed fruit juice and it costs $12. Da had a milo milk shake and it costs around $6. We didn't have much food except fried luncheon meat fingers and that was very addictive indeed. Overall, it's a great chill out place that's good if you want to get out ...

The downpour finally came after so many days. We decided to hang out with our godson Caleb in the latest hip cafe in our neighbourhood ...the Wheeler's yard. Refurbished from a ex carpentry shop, it's essentially a warehouse converted into a cafe / bicycle joint. It's my second time and this time we sat outside in the alfresco area instead of the air conditioned area and it was equally charming. It's not just the vintage bicycles, the coffee and the ambience.   With the old school charm, the high ceiling and a little patch of space for kids to roam , there's enough reason to come back though you must expect to wait for seats on a sunny day. This place has already attracted the likes of BMW and Burberries for functions though it has barely opened for three months so you can rest assured on it's charm factor.  The space you get is really rare in the city fringe area .. So it's a great place to go to for a quick escape from the city. Will be comi...
