Bangkok trip

It was sad and rather scary to hear of the bombing in Bangkok, especially since we took the whole family there a few weeks ago. While we have all enjoyed the trip tremendously , I think it would be a while before I would bring all there again.

Anyway, here's some highlights of what we did there ..
- went to the amazing zoo and Safari just 40 minutes away from city. Inside here, the animals performed every hour and amazed us with their spectacular performance.

In the mini safari , it has the highest concentration of white tigers, giraffes and zebras over the smallest land area .. It's really up close and personal .. Just make sure you don't wind down the windows.
- took the "leisurely" boat down the river and saw many reptiles (iguana / monitor lizard looking thingie) and even a small crocodile! It made the bumpy boat river even more nerve wrecking though I find it quite interesting. Not for the faint hearted or those with motion sickness.
- managed to sneak in massage for the whole family .. We did foot massage while iphone kept Cayen entertained since he flatly refused the masseur's offer with a "I don't want massage", to their great amusement . Upside from this after the trip was that he suddenly "knew" how to massage... This is how he would assuage us at home thereafter !

- as we squeezed our way through one of the street bazaar, Cayen broke out singing "好朋友我们行个礼, 握握手呀来猜拳。 石头布呀看谁赢, 输了就要跟我走” he sang it so many times to our great amusement as the last sentence tickled us a great deal. Couldn't fantom why the outcome of losing is to go home with the winner...
- took the Toot Toot for a short distance and was again a nerve wrecking experience as he was rather reckless. Do not try it with kids!
- cAyen played the number game with Yiyi .., so yiyi will ask him what comes after 1. Instead of saying 2, he will say 3 or 4 or 5. Then yiyi will ask him what happened to the numbers in between. Then he needs to come up with some descriptors of what they are doing.. And he would say that they are at the toilet, taking the toot toot or something. It's quite funny how this game can keep him entertained for ages.
- did some shopping at MBK, Platinum etc and I think there's more things to see at the latter ..

Oh, and we had an incident at the airport. I was stopped at the checkpoint as I had not one but two pairs of scissors (the one for cutting food) in my diaper bag and a wine opener in my own bag! Really embarrassing to somehow left all these in our hand carry bags as though as we were first time travellers. Sigh.

In any case, given the value of these is more than ten bucks, I decided to spend ten bucks to mail it back to ourselves.
