Day 10 - 16

Day 10 - Mon

It was a most eventful day. Baby took a while to sleep.

Day 11 - Tue

I went for yoga lesson today and had a good stretch. However, the good lesson experience was marred by their silly booking system where one cannot book sessions outside of a certain operating hours so it's "fair" to customers ie one cannot book in the wee hours of the night, especially for busy branches at Ngee Ann city.

However, for a busy professional working at my branch in CBD , I only have time to book in the late of the night or early morning before the working hours begin. Currently , I find that I am unable to secure lunch slots and after work slots to start with on many days and the inability to book using the app at all hours is making things worse.  Also , one can't book ahead of time like 2-3 weeks in advance.

If the concern is about overcrowding and to be fair, then they should have a policy that each member can only book up to x times per peak hour per week. It's not to restrict app booking timing so as to restrict people from booking in late night or early morning.

Anyway, I went back and found the baby still awake. My mum had conceded and realised that she cannot put the baby to bed in the evenings. Anyway I took over and after half an hour of effort, I managed to succeed. Was so tired thereafter as I had woken up at 5.30am that day and rushed to office to realise that the 7am call was cancelled.

Day 12 - Wed
My helper's supposed to come back the next day but haven't heard from her yet as to her flight details or timing.

Day 13 - Thur
Is this today? Did she say she's coming back on the 13th or after 13th day? I messaged her early morning to ask if she needed her to fetch her.

No response.

I reckon that there's only 50% chance of her coming back. Saw news of earthquakes in Philippines the night before. Wonder if that's the reason why she never replied.

Day 14 - Good Friday
Maybe today's the day she would be back ? Not sure, so we headed to the Jurong bird park. Cayson was delighted to see the birds , I think he was trying to pronounce "birds" too.

However, didn't get to do the water playground or see any of the smurfs or the egg hunt as it poured during lunch. But we already got the annual pass (retailing at the price of a day pass). So we'll be back.

By night , no sight of May. Chances of return dropped to 20%.

Day 15 - Sat
Called her line, no pick up. Messaged again, no reply. Starting to be annoyed that she didn't even bother to say she's not coming back. Chances of return dropped to 99%.

Day 16 - Sun
Messaged that we will be cancelling the work permit on Monday. No reply. We went on to have yummy pizza and watch Smurfs. Happy that Cayen tried and liked the baked calamari. I treasure little joys like this as there was a point in the not so distant past that he wouldn't eat most things or even try.

Joined the Easter egg hunt organised by my lovely neighbours. It's fun to have a modern day kampong in our block. And happy to see Cayen willingly share some of his loot with his friends.
