Cayson after tasting very sour blueberries...

Cayson: Ah Pa, try some.
Ah Pa tried it but it was a tad sour. 
Cayson: Do you like it ?
Ah Pa: Yes ... 
Cayson: ok, you can have it.

Haha..

Today, I was washing dishes and my hands are full. 

Cayson: Ah Ma, can you cut me some oranges?

Me: I don’t know how to

Cayson: Oh, first you open the fridge. Then you go to the bottom, then you pick up the orange. Then you cut it into small pieces, so I will not dirty my shirt because I bathe already. 

Whoa! He sure knows his facts very well where food is concerned.

Cayen first overnight camp

I think I’m starting to have an inkling on what tough it will be to send my boys off to army in future. Sending him to a 4 night camp was already quite a daunting experience.  I was worried for him on so many fronts. How would he wake up in the morning if he couldn’t hear the alarm? How would he get along with three stranger roommates? How would he work in a big team for the hackathon when he’s amongst the youngest in the camp at 10 years (think the age range is from 10-18). How would he handle the laptop, iPad and iPhone without losing them? Would he know how to sign on to wifi? Lots of questions on my mind.  Well, here was how the days went last week :  Tuesday After our breakfast together, we went him off to D resort where all the kids will be staying. They will be ferried to NUS on a daily basis thereafter for their activities. I gave him a quick low down on how to use the phone and WhatsApp just in case since he doesn’t have a phone and only used it to play games....

Cayson is 19 months old

Cayson's key milestone this month was starting school. Now he has finally taken to school and his teachers (including the new one last week) and the auntie who dotes on him. He still doesn't like to take off his shoes at the checkpoint but that's about it. It's a little sad that his "best friend" has left but hopefully new friendships will be forged.  Apparently, he likes to hide in books and corners, in boxes, enter prohibited areas, climb high and low, and purposely do the opposite of what's told in a teasing , charming way. He will also help his classmate if they fall down. Apparently he's the most active in class right now and can't sit still (but honestly this is expected of a 19 month old boy right?) so I'm not too bothered by this.  At home, he continues to be very hardworking, fetching all our shoes for us when we are heading out.
