Multiparenting Cayen & Cayson

He saw my phone lying around so he wanted to "charge" the phone. I let him try a little while and he discovered how to do it. But the phone's screen is still bright so he said "save my world" [thats my slogan to ask him not to waste water and electricity, tissue paper etc] and he proceeded to turn off the screenlight.  Then, he found another phone , but that's turned off as it was flat on battery. He exclaimed "又没电了! 我帮阿妈 charge" Then, he went to the wire again and try to plug it into the phone  but it seemed that he didn't see the entry point as the handphone cover had a flap blocking it. This year, Cayen is a little older. As such, I figured the new year routine should be a breeze compared to last year but I guess I couldn't be more wrong.  On the eve, I took out the bee pyjamas I bought for him , thinking he would like it but he didn't . He only kept it on for five minutes. Not sure if it's because the material is a little thicker than normal but he didn't take to it. He stayed up till midnight so he could see his favourite fireworks.  For New Year's Day, I had  bought him some new shirts online but they turned out to be a little oversized but thankfully I had some other new shirts as standby. I thought I had bought him another Gap shirt but I must have accidentally missed it out  during the purchase. In any case, I didn't have to worry too much about new clothes because he promptly refused to wear all the clothes I have picked out. * stuffs tissue up his nose when he has a flu* ”我学阿爸..” He muttered. That's the kid at 28 months .. He mimics every sentence and action we make. Recently he thinks it's funny when we frown when he says 哇靠 and he would say it many times just to get a reaction from us. He was trying to push the sofa in but he had no strength to do so .. At least not by using his hands to push... Before long, we saw him trying with his leg ... Muttering "I use my leg" .. We asked Cayen to try to be the big bro and bring him across. He took X's hand and promptly took the alternative route (detour) instead of trying to walk through the walkway guarded by the cat. Rather quick thinking I must say.. Even we adults didn't think about it - we were still rooting for him to guide X across the cat's path but we didn't think that he would consider the alternative route ! I'm not sure about how well he would do academically in future but he does have a little street smartness in a way..

Every day when I come back , I would ask him if he's a good boy. Did you hit anyone in school? Do you fight? (This is after he had a bout of fighting incidents in school) This week, he told me that he's a good boy and didn't fight.  When Ah Pa put him to sleep , Ah Pa asked him again in confidence : Pa: 今天有没有乖乖？ C: 有.. Pa: 真的吗？ C: 没有，没有乖..  Pa: 为什么? In a resigned tone and with a Singlish twang  C: 打架咯...  被老师罚咯  Pa: 跟谁打架?  C: 加君咯.. Asher 咯..  他们打我咯.... Not sure to what extent it's true Cox I've seen how he would initiate a fight when someone snatches his toy or intruded into his comfort zone. But we were just amused by the tonality of the entire conversation.  ----- That day Ah Pa locked the bedroom door to lay the Alphabet mat on the floor and thereafter, he went to bathe.
