Fun time at Sophia party

Yesterday we went to a Safra chalet for Sophia's party. It's really fun for the kids as there was a bouncing castle, a automatic car and lots of toys.

It was one of the nicest chalets I have been to as the house was very well maintained (looks very new) and there was even a massage chair inside the house!) the house faces the sea and was steps away from the sea though the bushes blocked the view a little. But this is really quite a place to steal away from city life if you want.

Cayen was quite well behaved today as he even shared his beloved 小馒头 with Sarah and all of us.

By the way, I saw that Sarah's pink pants looked absolutely lovely on her and realised that it's from my friend's shop - http://www.paleyandlove.com








Tried to take a photo shot of both of them but quite impossible . Here's my feeble attempts:












Anyway, I also tried to let Cayen "drive" the automatic car. But alas, the moment I took over the control , the car reversed abruptly and Cayen jerked backwards (I think he's a little shocked). Thank goodness I put the seatbelt on. Da said I had no licence, oops!




The kids continued to play and everyone was so delighted with the walking balloons and the toys that Wan & Ed had prepared. Key learning for kids party: lots of toys required.




















Next since we are out in the Far East .. Ie the changi area, we decided to check out a cafe that we've always wanted to hang out .. The Coastal Settlement. That's another separate post as I took a lot of photos ..

Cayen concussed in the cafe and slept for two hours . Came home and continue to play bubbles !









And I managed to capture a clip of his easily amused state ..

We went for curriculum updates last week for Cayson and the week before for Cayen. Bumped into the English teacher who told me that Cayen eats his lunch very well including vegetables (doesn't sound like him at all). She also mentioned that Cayen likes to test boundary. Recent case in point , teacher would ask the children to not talk in the toilet as it could be noisy for the children in the adjacent classroom. As he wasn't allowed to talk, he purposely started singing instead. Then our discussion was cut short and I wondered how the teacher responded to his singing eventually.  Nonetheless , this is one of the many instances where Cayen would not do things the conventional way. In Cantonese, I might even call him "Seng Mok" (savvy). For instance , previously , he was spotted sipping lime cordial juice on a plate -he has helped himself at the dispenser without my knowledge . Feedback from teachers

As part of the regular meet the parent session, I joined Cayson to make ice cream. Think I must be the only one who managed to tear two plastics bags in a row due to vigorous shaking. It’s good fun as Cayson tried his hand at making ice cream from Meiji strawberry milk.  Teacher’s feedback on him is still good as usual as he’s still quite an obedient and easy going kid though she did remark that he’s picky with some food like vegetables now. And whilst he’s 99% agreeable in the past, he’s been more prone to his own opinion (I read it as trying to get his way). And sometimes he followed his classmates’ action of scribbling away randomly during colouring when he used to colour carefully within the lines. Observations were quite in line with what we see at home. Recently he would cry when he doesn’t get his way. For instance, we were playing snakes and ladders and he started crying when I made him slide down when he hit a snake. He kept screaming “I want to win”. Later on, he proceeded to
