Third week of school - turning point

Monday: He went to school and he only cried a little when they dropped him. According to teacher, he was a good boy for the rest of the day ..didn't cry, played happily and even joined the class activity! Ad no, he didn't sleep in class either. However, he did get a little upset when he finished his lunch at noon, carried his bag and Ah Pa and Grandma were late to pick him up.

I would like to think that my draw-and-tell or blog-and-tell every day since last week worked because according to my narration, at 12 noon, Cayen eats lunch, it's hot so Cayen blows, and then Ah Pa and Grandma and Grandpa will all come and pick him up.

Tuesday=scrambled egg days: Apparently Cayen had 3 helpings of egg! According to teacher, he was a good boy that day too as there's no crying for most part of day except for the morning dropoff cry.

Wednesday: Grandpa dropped him off today. And there's no wishy washiness at all, he just dropped him, turned his back and left, Cayen crying or not. No sneaking around for the perfect moment to escape the room undetected like how Grandma or Ah Pa would try to do. We wonder if this is actually the better approach.

Also, today, We finally realised what is the definition of "good boy" in the language of the teacher. It means that he doesn't cry and doesn't demand them to carry. I think they were quite traumatized by his last week's of constant requests to be carried and they probably all went back with severe arm ache.
So the bar is not exactly that high ... I had initially thought that good boy means active participating in class, gifted ability to learn etc. Haha, I am over-thinking.

Anyway, the funny thing since the start of school is that every time I ask him about what he learned in school, he will always retort with a firm "Bye Bye!". I hope that's not all they are teaching him or worse still, reflecting his favourite time in school.
