ringleader ?

Today, Cayen had a perfect start to day.

He did everything as told.. Measure temperature, open mouth, show hands, show feet and wash hands...

Then he said byebye and then carry his own bag and walk into his classroom .. Lastly his classmate came out to say byebye to us with cayen.. So we believe he has made some friends. 

However, as usual, there is a twist to the perfect start ..  he got his second official complaint! (Notice how when he starts to feel right at home, all the antics seem to follow)

Offence: Climbing and standing on high table several times yesterday .. Then the teacher had to ask us if he would do that at home...

Second happening of the day : all the babies went on strike!

Apparently , food served was some mashed potato and vegetable. It must have tasted really bad because all the kids refused to eat and they all sat there n gave silent treatment to the teacher -and they also poured the mashed potato onto the table or plastered it over the face. (When I hear the plastering part, I immediately thought of Cayen as it seemed like something he would do when he didn't like the food. Next, I felt guilty that perhaps he might have instigated the babies to go on strike since he's the one who doesn't follow rules. 

The poor teachers could only  tell all the parents when they arrived that their babies didn't like the food. 

And when the parents went in, the babies were all seated quietly n not touching the food.. The moment each of the babies saw their own parents or maid or grandparents, they started crying like they were very ill treated ... 很受委屈被虐待. How drama is that ?? 

Anyway, somehow I had a suspicion that he might be the 龍頭老大 ， instigating all the kids to do all these funny stuff. Hope I'm wrong else this won't be the last complaint .

We went for curriculum updates last week for Cayson and the week before for Cayen. Bumped into the English teacher who told me that Cayen eats his lunch very well including vegetables (doesn't sound like him at all). She also mentioned that Cayen likes to test boundary. Recent case in point , teacher would ask the children to not talk in the toilet as it could be noisy for the children in the adjacent classroom. As he wasn't allowed to talk, he purposely started singing instead. Then our discussion was cut short and I wondered how the teacher responded to his singing eventually.  Nonetheless , this is one of the many instances where Cayen would not do things the conventional way. In Cantonese, I might even call him "Seng Mok" (savvy). For instance , previously , he was spotted sipping lime cordial juice on a plate -he has helped himself at the dispenser without my knowledge . Feedback from teachers

As part of the regular meet the parent session, I joined Cayson to make ice cream. Think I must be the only one who managed to tear two plastics bags in a row due to vigorous shaking. It’s good fun as Cayson tried his hand at making ice cream from Meiji strawberry milk.  Teacher’s feedback on him is still good as usual as he’s still quite an obedient and easy going kid though she did remark that he’s picky with some food like vegetables now. And whilst he’s 99% agreeable in the past, he’s been more prone to his own opinion (I read it as trying to get his way). And sometimes he followed his classmates’ action of scribbling away randomly during colouring when he used to colour carefully within the lines. Observations were quite in line with what we see at home. Recently he would cry when he doesn’t get his way. For instance, we were playing snakes and ladders and he started crying when I made him slide down when he hit a snake. He kept screaming “I want to win”. Later on, he proceeded to
